A short bio...

Bob Hanon is a professional artist who has worked as an illustrator and cartoonist for the past 25 years. He has done almost everything from technical designs to drawing a cartoon strip for a San Diego newspaper.

Through the course of his career he has worked for Eclipse Comics on their parody line back in the early 1990's and continued working with Parody Press and Entity Press on their parody books (Meadowlark, Rummage, and others). He was the Lead Designer and animator on "Sonic's Wacky Worlds" for the Sega Genesis platform and was one of the designers/animators on "X-Men II: Clone Wars" also for Sega Genesis.

Feeling bored and in need of a new challenge he produced a web comic for Graphic Smash which he wrote, drew and digital colored (grey-toned actually) titled "Flex-Time" - a parody of the universe where Heaven and Hell were rival corporations vying for the souls of the cosmos. The comic ran for fives years until Graphic Smash closed up shop, (he will be posting the comic on this website in mid 2014).

Currently he is writing, drawing and loving his comic strip "Mission San Diego" which is running in the San Diego Union-Tribune every Sunday and has been for the past 3 years. He is also working on a children's book and a novel with his 15 year old daughter.

Bob is a member of both the Southern California Cartoonist Society and Board Member of the Southern California Cartoonist Association.
